The Caribbean-Canadian Cultural Arts & Professional Development Foundation (CCCAAPDF),
was founded in 2021. Our entertainment hub, is located in North-West Toronto; which is based inside of Class Resto Lounge.
The founder is a local Toronto artist with community connections
as a former Black-focused community navigator.
Her passion for holistic approaches to nurturing ones spirit by utilizing artistic expression,
coupled with her desire to create a platform for Caribbean-Canadian music artists
had led to the birthing of the organization.
The organization believes in fostering and uplifting, the artistic spirit of Caribbean-Canadian culture.
Our commitment to community engaged arts, celebrates and elevates the voices and talents of
artists in Toronto, the surrounding GTA, and internationally.
Our organization's entertainment hub provides a platform for Caribbean-Canadian cultural entertainment
and hosts a series of events in collaboration with local artists, curators, and media personnel.
The hub enables members of the Caribbean-Canadian music community, and partners
to showcase emerging and professional recording artists, network, and co-create impactful events featuring
live band music, social events, spoken-word, dance, arts, and filmed productions.
In efforts to offer the essential tools of artist development,
the hub also features a stage and compact music recording studio,
which is available for self-directed, or professional projects at an affordable cost;
or eligible sponsorship.
CCCAAPDF creates campaigns of social change, and often hosts intimate events, concerts,
and free community events featuring live music
from local Caribbean-Canadian artists, performers, and DJs.
These events have drawn people together of all demographics to enjoy
and experience the Caribbean-Canadian culture, uniting them through live music and entertainment.
The organization also facilitates the logistic roles of planning events,
in community and public settings; including equipment layout mapping,
booking artists and entertainers, DJs, lighting rigging, and sound engineers.
Our organization facilitates employment opportunities
in the industries of hospitality and entertainment
in collaboration with our youth employment focused community partners,
and partners in our entertainment network.
Membership is free and open to performing artists, musicians, and live music enthusiasts.
